Though we look in different directions
we are always in each other's sight
gathered round the fire
wrestling through the night
with our shadows in a ring
that crowns our crossroads crucified
as the fallen withered boughs
bloom with flames, one last time alive

as they're
getting bright and brittle
round like river pebbles
more and more alike
clinging tight together
making bed of embers
for the new light to shine
turning grey, becoming one
with the fertile ground

and I know that

Before I turn to marble
grow silent as you grow up
into your wildest dreams
I want you to know yourself
so when you find that love for which
all world you could forget
don't be afraid to give it all
there's so much more you'll get

just enough

Life is not unfair or fair
neither wants nor doesn't want
